The ancient teachings of yoga, like the Samkhya Philosophy and also the Bhagavad Gita, talk about three essential aspects of nature. These are called the Gunas.
The three Gunas as described in the vedas, are Sattva (balance), Rajas (activity) and Tamas (inertia). The word ‘guna’ means strand or fibre, and these characteristics weave together to manifest all energy, matter and consciousness of the universe. They exist as an integral part of yoga philosophy.
Come along to join Dr. Ram Mani Bhandari to explore the three gunas are in constant interaction in our lives, learn to feel their distinctive qualities and use them to sculpt your thoughts, behaviours and experiences.
