Any member of Sunshine Ayurveda including Ram Mani Bhandari is not claiming to be a medical doctor registered with Medical Board of Australia. The title doctor mentioned in any context on the website, applies to Ayurvedic medicine which is recognised in Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka, where Ayurveda medicine originated. The title of doctor was obtained after completing 6.5 years of a Bachelor degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). Currently, Australia does not recognise this qualification as a mainstream medical profession. Ayurvedic doctors in Australia are registered by the Australasian Association of Ayurveda (AAA) and this qualification is recognised in Australia by VETASSESS as a naturopath equivalent.

It is strongly recommended that you consult with your personal health care provider prior to applying any of the information published on the Sunshine Ayurveda website.
